Halloween, part 1: School

We started the day with a mermaid and ended the day with a mermaid. First mermaid spotting of the day: this morning, for school. The second was our Halloween potluck dinner and trick-or-treating with the gang tonight. That post will have to wait, as I am hoping to get photos from other people. For now, I can tell you about our Halloween morning, which involved a costume parade at Lucy's preschool. Lucy was, thankfully, excited to put on her mermaid costume this morning, and get off to school.

We found out that the costume parade would occur about half an hour into class, so after drop-off, some of us lingered outside to wait. And the wait? Worth it! They could not have been any cuter. Seriously. Try to picture a bunch of 3 year-olds dressed up in their little costumes, and then imagine it ten times cuter!

The parade went trick-or-treating through some of the administrative offices before making their way back to the playground. Lucy was very excited to tell me about trick-or-treating and show me the treats she collected.

Once the parade was over, Ms. Alicia got the kiddos together to pose for class pictures. SO CUTE!

After pictures, the parents left and the kids went on with their day, starting off with play time, followed by a Halloween party.

Fun times! Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! Stay tuned for pictures (hopefully) from this evening's festivities. Here's a sneak peak:

Yeah for school buddies!
It's so fun to see LJ with all of her school friends. I loved going with with you to drop her off at school and see her interact with all of the other kiddos. And how cute are they all in costume?!
