15 month check-up
Lucy had her 15 month check-up today. She's 21 lbs., 5.5 oz., which is up a couple pounds from her last check-up and means she's holding steady at the 25th percentile, and she's 30 1/4 inches long. We could tell that she's grown - her pant legs are shorter (good thing cropped pants are in!) and she's grown out of at least one pair of shoes - but it's great to have confirmation. Dr. Fang said she's doing really well and developing great!
She was in a good mood at the doctor's office, too, for the most part. I'm thinking the snacks I packed helped to distract her. ;) Normally she wouldn't have had any shots at this visit, but Dr. Fang suggested that we may want her to get a flu shot, since she'll be around so many more kids (and germs) this year. Since we've already seen the effects of germy kids, we decided to do it. It's a two-part shot, so one dose today and we have to go back next month for the next dose.
After her appointment, we went for a quick lunch at Swingers. It was a nice, impromptu stop! Lucy, band-aided leg and all, looked like such a big girl at the table. She ate her snacks, "read" her book, and smiled, waved, and said, "Hi!" to everyone who passed by. And I got to have breakfast for lunch, which is always a win! :)
The only bummer is that Luce is still a little under the weather. She woke up on Sunday morning with a runny nose, and it's been runny and snotty ever since. She had a fever a few days ago, too, but that's gone now. She seems to be getting better, although she still has a runny nose and still isn't quite herself. She hasn't been eating as much as she normally does, and she's been extra clingy and fussy, especially at nap times. Hopefully she'll be back to normal soon!

Even with a slight fever, and runny snotty nose, you were still smiling, talking, and walking everywhere! You always had a smile and a "Hi" for everyone including Dakota. It was fun visiting with you recently. You imitated Grampa F. sleeping, Dakota sniffing at you, and imitated me doing an imitation of you trying your hardest to take your plastic egg apart and also break apart your cracker. You are such a cutey and we certainly miss you.
