A day at the farm

Today we met up with a group of friends at Underwood Family Farms, for their annual Fall Harvest Festival.

After being forewarned that we should try to get there as early as possible to avoid crowds, we motivated hard to leave the house by 8:30 (which actually happened!) and we arrived there around 9:30. When we arrived, it was already warm, but not very crowded at all. It was quite nice.

We went on a hay ride around the farm, which was a lot of fun.

The kids (and daddies) also enjoyed the tractor ride.

Not surprisingly, Lucy enjoyed the petting zoo. She seems to be quite fond of goats and sheep.

Also not at all surprising, Lucy and Bregan enjoyed their train ride. They chatted and giggled a lot!

 And there were so many other fun things to do, too, such as feeding the chickens (before we arrived, she was all about seeing chickens and pigs), riding ponies, and playing the ring toss game.

We had a great time, with great friends! It was a really fun morning all around.:)

By the end, boy were we ready for a nap!
