Zoo Day!
We've been wanting to take Lucy to the zoo for a while, and since Brian is on vacation this week and the weather was nice, today seemed like the perfect opportunity. It was a beautiful day- sunny, bright blue skies, and warm but not hot. Perfect zoo weather!
Lucy has enjoyed looking at pictures of animals ever since I can remember (and she loves her dog brother), so we had a feeling she would enjoy seeing real animals in person- and she did!
She rode in her stroller for the most part, but we took her out at the different exhibits so that she could see the animals. And we saw some really cool ones!
I'm not sure who had more fun- Lucy or her Daddy!
Actually, we all had a great time! The only bummer: as we drove out of the parking lot, we discovered that Reid, Kyra, and Ally were also at the zoo, but we missed them. Boo! It would have been so much fun to hang out together!
Although she missed her morning nap for the zoo experience, she was too busy looking at all the animals and snacking on pretzels, crackers, and big chunks of cantaloupe to mind. She enjoyed herself all morning, and them promptly zonked out in the car by the time we got on the freeway. Sweet girl.
We had so much fun! I look forward to taking her to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, and you better believe we can't wait to take her to the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park (formerly known as the Wild Animal Park)! More fun times ahead!
