Happy Valentine's Day!
Lucy and I had a Valentine's Day playdate at the park with Alicia and Bregan. It was our first time at Glen Alla Park, a newly refurbished playground, in nearby Marina Del Rey. It's a great little playground, much like the one in our neighborhood, but even newer, and a nice change of scenery. It was a great day to be at the park, and the BFFs had a lot of fun together, as usual. They played ran around, played in the sandbox, and even rode down the bumpy slide together. :)
To make the day even better, Brian surprised us by coming home early tonight! He's been working a little late recently, so this was especially unexpected and wonderful. Lucy and I were out for a run when B got home, but we returned to steaks in the fridge, cookies in the kitchen, a beautiful orchid plant and cards on the counter, and the dishes being washed! Needless to say, we were both really excited about it. Lucy kept saying, "Daddy home!" Can every day be Valentine's Day?? :)
